3 Projects in one day?

That’s absurd! Hahah, well, not really. I’ve just been slacking lately. 😦

Although, I guess you would consider it only being two projects yesterday, and already one today.

Completed this order that isn’t due until August. Matching shoes coming soon…

I also really think I should start saving all my thoughts for one big post at the end of the day… Wouldn’t hurt, but I just love this little hat so much.

What a Crochet-filled-day

This morning I finally sat down and made the second green and pink converse shoe… I actually made one last night too, but for some reason it didn’t come out quite right and I can’t figure out what I did wrong. Oh well, second times a charm.

I also went out to Walmart and ended up buying more yarn… as if I needed any, lol. I wanted to make a baby blanket for someone I know that is due in about 4 weeks… but I was not sure if that’s what I wanted to gift or not…

But then I decided I wanted to make something that baby could actually wear… So this is what I decided to make her:

I probably should’ve spent more time working on some open orders, but of course not! Hahah, oh well, at least I finished one order! 😛

Baby Converse!!

I’ve made a couple pairs of these before, but the pair I’m currently working on tonight are coming out just so perfect!

Here they are….or… here it is… I still have the other shoe to make. :}

I found the pattern free on Ravelry.com.

Binky Pin Pattern!

The Minnie Mouse Binky Pin pattern is now up for sale in my etsy shop for only $1.99!

Learn how to crochet an adorable Minnie Mouse Pacifier Pin with this tutorial! This pattern is super easy to follow, even a brand-new crochet-er would understand it!
Requires a minimal amount of black and red yarn, small amount of thread, a button, and a safety pin.

Making it for a boy? Easily convert it to be Mickey Mouse by skipping the steps for the bow!

Current Projects

New England Patriots Inspired Baby Set

How cute is this? Completely inspired by the New England Patriots!
Crocheted in 100% acrylic yarn. Size 6 months.

This was a custom order, and I plan on writing a pattern for it very soon. 🙂 It was a very fun project to work on, that’s for sure!

Minnie Mouse Binky Pin

This adorable little binky pin was also a custom order! Also crocheted in 100% acrylic yarn. Hopefully this looks like Minnie Mouse! Haha, it was supposed to be Mickey, but I couldn’t figure out how to make the tan shape for his face, lol. But this pin was for a girl anyway, so I assumed my customer wouldn’t mind if I threw a little bow on it. Beside, I think it looks wicked cute with how plain and simple it is. 🙂

Just an idea…

I’m thinking I’m going to start making a ton of dog/animal assesories/clothing/toys and have portions of the profit go to Double Dog Rescue, where I got my dog, Baxter from! I have yet to calculate how much I would be able to donate per item, but every little bit helps, right? If any one has any suggestions, please let me know. 🙂

I’m all ears!

Inventory

I decided this morning it is time to start building up an inventory. I plan on vending at a craft fair in Torrington, Ct on June 30th. I do have quite a bit of bulk stuff made, but it’s little odds and ends here and there. So far this is what my inventory looks like:

  • 1 Baby blanket
  • 3 Cat collars (green, off-white, blue)
  • 1 Adult beret
  • 1 Child scarf
  • 1 Baby hat & sweater set
  • 1 Black bag
  • 1 Binky pin
  • 1 Hat and bootie set
  • 1 Baby beach tee
  • 5 Child hats
  • 1 Slouchy hat
  • 1 Newborn hat
  • 10 Baby hats

I plan on having my inventory looking like:
  • 20 assorted cat toys
  • 10 bow-tie collars
  • 10 baby hats
  • 10 child hats
  • 10 adult hats
  • 2 baby sweaters
  • 10 pair baby booties
  • 2 purses
  • 5 pairs of mittens
  • 3 scarves
  • 10 binky pins
  • 10 stuffed animals

Seems like a lot of stuff, but at the low cost this stuff in particular is costing me to make (since I am using mostly scrap yarn), I am hoping I will have an awesome turn-out. We shall see!

Crochet Mustache, anyone?

I’ve been trying to find ideas for some simple things to make to sell at craft fairs. This mustache necklace may just be a keeper! Mustaches are an inside joke between me and a girl that have been friends since kindergarten, so I sent her a text after not having talking for months, telling her she will be receiving complementary Crabapple Crochet. She had no idea what I was talking about, but once she saw the picture, she is now dying to receive her mustache necklace in the mail!

Better yet, this was such a simple, easy project. It took me under 5 minutes to make!

Crochet Bow-tie Cat Collar

Crochet Bow-tie Cat Collar

(Just please ignore the fact that this is modeled on a stuffed dog. My cat, Sammy, didn’t feel like posing for the camera tonight.)

This is crocheted with 100% USA grown cotton yarn. It is very soft and definitely very, very adorable!

Wouldn’t you love for cat to be this stylin’ too?

I’ll be writing a pattern for this soon, too. Check back for updates.
(This will be my first pattern I write too! How exciting!!)

And maybe next time Sammy will cooperate and let me take her picture with her wearing one too. 🙂
She has her very own pink one, and my other cat, Salem, has a red one. Might I add he is quite stunning with it too. 😉
